Hello, I am new to this forum. I have a problem. I have had this 2000 Civic EX and have never used the power outlet before. This past weekend I bought an FM transmittor for my ipod and plugged it in and it did not work. I tested it on a different car and the fm transmittor worked so the problem is not that. I also checked the fuse of my car and that was ok. I also removed the dash to check the connection of the power outlet and it was firmly attached. Does anyone know what the problem is? And how to fix it? TIA

Get a volt-ohm meter. Perform a test of the power to the power point. No power at the powerpoint then work your way back. Possible in line fuse etc. Power to the powerpoint then the powerpoint itself could be defective. That is about it in a nutshell.
