I have 1996 F150. The washer fluid will not work. Wipers work, fuse is good, I can hear the click when I attempt to use the washer fluid but to no avail. Please help, it's winter in Michigan & we love our salty roads!
Please hold the non squirting jokes to a minimum.

Thanks
Bill

There is a pump to push the fluid to the windshield. It is possible that it has failed. I would have the motor tested. You need to see that it gets power to run and if it is getting power I would suspect the motor.

Bruce,
Where is the pump located? How can I test for power? The clicking noise I hear is that some sort of relay or the pump itself?

I am not sure on that but I would suspect it is in close proximity to the washer resevoir. You could follow the sprayer hoses to the resevoir from the outlet nozzles. Using a volt meter on the electrical connection determine if the voltage is there when the washer is activated. Might be a good 2 person job. Power there pump is probably bad. No power you go to the switch, etc.
