I have a 1993 sunbird with a 3.1L and the auto transmision is screwed up so I am about to change the transmision. Which way is easier to get it out from the top or the bottem. From the top the abs is in the way and from the bottem it looks like I will have to drop the k-frame with motor and trans. So which way is easier and is there anything to look out for.
thanks snydes65coupe

Thank you. I have it out. Had to take it out the bottom. Had to take off the sway bar and frame. One hard bolt to get out from the back of transmission.

I have a 1993 sunbird with a 3.1L and the auto transmision. I just put a used trans in my car took it for a drive and the car died the torque converter lock up and would not start. Had to tow it home it startes fine now that it is cooled down. What sensor to change for the torque converter lock-up.
