A/c not working read out says low refrigerant bought a can of R134A to put in but can not get compressor to run. Idid jump the low presser switch an it still wont come on any thoughts

A/c not working information center says low refrigerent also says a/c compressor sut off, checked all fuses an relays seemed to be good, bought a can of R134A to put in but could not get a/c compressor to come on tried to jumped the low presser swith sill would not come on please help

There is a high side pressure switch that I have seen go bad several times. On the high side line where it runs along the firewall

Should have continuity with a full load of refrigerant. Caddy's wont let the a/c turn on until the code is cleared even if the problem is fixed

Yes that did work thankyou I cleared the code an was able to charge system, How can I tell when system is charge, Do I put a guage on the High side to get the correct reading reading, so I was told I need to buy a guage is this correct thank you
