Car starts and idols for hours no problem when driving it seems sluggish and surges check engine is giving a code 42 and 43 replaced ecm and ignition coil last year need some help to check next

I would turn to the knock sensor side of the equation. Does your engine knock when you accelerate? If so, fix the ause of the knock. If not, suspect a faulty KS or circuit.
