Are there struts or shock on the front of a 1986 325e and are they difficult to change?

What are common problems that would cause a high idle around 2500 RPM constantly?

Thanks

They have struts front and shocks rear. If you have done struts before no big deal. If not you need a spring compressor.

High idle could be many things. Restricted linkage, bad throttle cable, gummed up butterfly in the throttle body, to a host of different senors.

Good hunting and let us know.
