1980 Rabbit Turn Signal

My VW Rabbit's turn signals stopped working. When I try to use them, the light comes on the dash solid, not blinking and not operating. The hazards work fine, it is not the bulb, nor the flasher. Could it be the switch? If so, how do I find out? Thank you for any advice.

I would unplug each lens in the trunk and check for corrosion at the connectors.

had the same car. You narrowed down the fact it ain't the flasher unit, and I am supposing you went outside and checked to be sure all the bulbs worked.
I would pull the steering wheel and clean the contacts for the signal light with some fine sandpaper(make it shiny metal).
