Hi, i have a 1977 MGB roadster that normally runs fine.
Today i turned the ignition key on and the red igniton light did not come on. The car cranks over and starts on the spring turn of the key, but when i release the spring the engine stops.
With the ignition on i have removed the distributor cap and flicked opened the closed points and there is no spark. I have no live power at the coil or at the back of the alternator. I.E no LT power. I have checked the fuses and undone/cleaned/refitted all the connectors i can see in the LT circuit and the is still no red light on the dash.
Please help!!!!
