you might be able to answer this i have recently bought a 1950 field marshall tractor and the engine is siezed and i can not tur it over with the starting handle it will not move the engine is a side ways mounted single silinder 2-stroke diesle but it does have a hole that u could poor diesle in to start it like a plug hole u can see the piston through it

Hi nibby,

When engine is seized, you need to determine which part is the cause.

If the pistons had seized due to rust caused by long storage time, the only way to get the job done is to rebuild the engine.

If the seizure is not too bad, spray some rust remover into the engine and let it soak for a while before attempting to turn the engine. If it moves, try forward and reverse motions to get the seizure loose. Add rust remover while working on it.
