1 Engage gear lever in P.
2. Loosen holding bolts of inhibitor switch.
3. Adjust to center position of adjusting slot and tighten enough to hold in position.
4. Check the indicator light in dash and ensure it is showing P.
5. If it is, try shifting to all other positions and note if they corresponds. Move down each position slowly and reverse back up to P step by step.
6. If positions are not as indicated, loosen holding bolts and turn the switch a few degrees and re-tighten bolt and retest. Repeat the process until you get the correct position. If turning in one direction does not solve problem, move in opposite direction of adjustment.
7. If each position indicates correctly, tighten the inhibitor switch holding bolt securely and retest.
