Steering problem
2006 Acura RSX 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 17k miles

All,

I am repairing the acura, which had a bent lower control arm. After replacing the lower control arm (passenger), I attempted to line up front wheels and there is not enough adjustment in the tie rods to line the wheels up. There is no evidence of bent uni-body or strut. Both front wheel set nicely vertically and are uniform and the same and correct distance from rear wheels, but the tie rods can not be adjusted out enough to line both wheel straight.

All though the steering manuevers well, is there a possibility that Rack and Pinion has been damaged or is there additional adjustment in the Rack and pinion?

Not my 1st rodeo. Tie rods look straight, unibody look good, strut position and measurements look great, but this one has me stumped.

Would love to have any advise.

Hi there,

I would put it together as close as you can and then get an alignment check done, this will pick up where a problem may be, you may not be able to see with your eye, there is no additional steering rack adjustment.
