1997 Acura RL Loud Whing Noise from rear of car

Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1997 Acura RL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 103115 miles

I am getting a loud Whining noise from rear of my car.
It seems to get louder the faster the car goes.
I purchased new tires thinking it was the tires. (Yokahamas) which are known to be pretty quiet.
The sound can be quiet deafening at speed with the radio off.
Does anyone know what this might be?

Hi Claude Mongeon,

Yes, it does seem to be the rear bearings.

Jack up rear of vehicle and free spin the wheels by hand. If any of the bearings are bad, the noise would be very coarse. Compare between right and left to see which is bad.
