MALFUNCTION ENGINE INDICATOR LIGHT what does that mean on a 1993 acura vigor. the vigor is a 5 cylinder

Hi there,
If the engine light is set, the ECU has located a problem in the engine management system, this is held in the memory as a code , which your mechanic can extract and read, each code is for an individual component so diagnosis is made easier. Get the code read first.
