What does it mean when you a/t temp light comes on and it seems like you car is idling or misfiring. Only in cold weather. Once the car warms up the light goes off.

Hi there,

This is indicating that the transmission oil is over heating and the system has gone into limp mode (possibly) this could be caused by a number of things, but normally low oil or slipping transmission clutches, I would get the trans checked ASAP as it may be doing expensive damage.
