I have a 1995 Acura Legend. My fan only work if the a/c is on. I can only drive medium distances before it starts to overheat. When it overheats, antifreeze shoots out of the overflow tank. What could be wrong with my car?

Hi taytay21,

If the overheating does not occur when the AC is used, the most likely cause would be a faulty fan switch/fan control sensor ( located at lower right side of radiator) or a fault in its wiring circuits.

Unplug the fan switch connector, bridge the 2 terminals and turn on ignition. If the fans comes on, the wiring circuit is good.
