Dunno what it went in the shop for but something fishy here.

Get it block and pressure tested to find out what's happening

The mechanic said he already pressure tested it and I think he is full of it. I know that today when it started to overheat after I turned the car off I popped the hood and the radiator hose that is on top from the thermostat to the radiotor was hot, so I know that the thermostat is opening up but it looked like it was going to explode it was swollen, and that is a brand new hose. the mechanic said that it meant that it still had a strong pressure. I dont think he knows what is going on.
