1994 Acura Legend 124,000 Miles 3.2 L automatic 4 speed 200 hp engine. I have been looking at an acura legend for sale for a little while now and i have some quesitons about it. First of all it says that the transmission slips and I was wondering if this means i will deffinitely need to replace the transmission or if there's anything else i can do fix this problem. It also gives a list of new parts that have been installed on the car Thermostat, Radiator, Fuel lines, all 4 brakes and calipers, and Front cv joints but does not say anything about a water pump and a timing belt wich i know are a problem on the acura legend. I was also wondering if i need to replace these how much it will cost and if i need to fix the transmission how much that will cost too. The final thing i need to know is it worth it to buy a car this old? The rest of the car is in really decent shape and is pretty low on milage for that old of a car. The transmission slipping is an honest thing that i hope they disclosed to you and you didn't have to diagnose yourself. Other than an attempt to use a product like Lucas for the tranny you will probably be looking at putting in a new or used tranny.

I might caution you to ask or look at the engine to see if the head was taken off for a new head gasket. Sounds as though there might have been a possibility of an engine overheating. Think about it.

The timing belt and water pump should have been taken care of at the mileage on the vehicle. If,,,the vehicle was maintained according to the book.

Your decision on the vehicle. Choose wisely.
