Engine Cooling problem
1994 Acura Legend Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles

My temperature gauge shows that the car is overheating but there is no steam, bubbling or anything from radiator. Radiator also has water.

Hi cecsni,

Thank you for the donation.

Check if the radiator fans are coming on and turning off intermittently. If yes, the engine is not overheating but you have a bad reading.

Bad readings can be casued by the following:
1. Shorted/bad sending unit. Test the resistance of the sending unit.
2. Poor ground connections. Located behind front headlights on fender, inner side.
3. Inaccurate temperature gauge.
