I had a 1993 acura legend and at took off the car doesn't accelerate properly. It has a hesitation then it accelerate properly. Plus my speedometer doesn't work at all what's wrong with it and how can I fix both problems. Thanks for your help

Hi 5hlw,

Erratic shifting would occur if the speedometer is not working.

The speedometer not working should be due to a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor located on top of the differential axle.

After replaceing the vss everything should work fine? Someone told me that the timing might be off do u know anything about tht

If the problem did not occur before the VSS failed, then replacing the VSS shoudl solve the problem.

However since you have a fault, it should be rectified first before we can confirm if that is the only cause.

Does the Check Engine Lamp indicate while driving? If yes you need to retrieve the troubble code to see if there are any other faults.

No it doesn't come on. Like I asked early the only problem is the take off

Poor take off can be due to the spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel pressure or other mechanical faults.

Get them checked.
