I think I need to replace my head gaskets because I am losing oil and a little coolant. When I start the car it is fin does not have any problems but once it is warm, I can be at a red light and white smoke will be coming out of the exhaust. Is this from having a bad head gasket or does anything sound different to you?

Hi asjberg23,

If coolant is also depleting from the recoery tank, then it is not a bad head gasket but only a minor leak somewhere in the system.

Symptoms indicates bad valve seals if the smoke is with a tinge of grey. Oil is being burnt, either in the cylinders or the exhaust system and the leaks are through the valve seals.
