1992 Acura Legend Squeaky noise

Steering problem
1992 Acura Legend 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 210000 miles

I changed my upper and lower control arms, lower ball joints, sway bay linkage, and my struts a year ago, and when I turn or put weight on the front end I hear a squeaking noise liken rubber rubbing together. I did not put lube or grease on anything when I installed, but at the time I did not know I had to. Do you think that could be the problem. Or is it my rack and pinion going bad.

Hi nostalgiajm,

You would need to locate the source of the noise to proceed with rectification.

It could be the parts replaced or any other parts. The most common cause for such noises are dry ball joints and they can be from
1. Lower ball joints.
2. Upper ball joints.
3. Steering tie-rod ball joints
4. steering tie-rod end ball joints.
