1992 Acura Legend Looses power to the gas pedal and Stops r

1992 Acura Legend 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 288,00 miles
After sitting for 3min. it will start and ride until sit a red light then looses power to the pedal, will stay on but not move pedal revs engine but will not move the car.

Symptom indicates a possible fault with the transmission.
Is the D4 light blinking?
Did you check the transmission fluid level and condition?
