Hi, I just asked this following question and received a answer and I was wondering if there was any way to get to throw out bearing and grease it myself?

Hi, I'm Scott from Milton, Florida (Pensacola) I have a 90 acura legend V6 and when you press the clutch pedal in about halfway down there a loud squealing and sometimes it kills the engine. Does that sound like it might be the throw out bearing? Is there anyway to grease it? It only squeals when the clutch pedal is engaging. Also, how far is it safe to drive the car like this? (need to get it to my house-about 5 miles.) Thanks!

Hi Scott,

You would have to remove the transmission to replace the throwout bearing. It is a non serviceable part so no lubrications would help.

The bearing has already seized so to prolong usage without it crumbling you would have to be as quick as possible when depressing and releasing the clutch to shift.
