1999 Acura Integra engine light code - P1706

I receive the code P1706 for my 1999 Acura Integra (NOT te VTEC engine) - I believe it has something to do with a transmission sensor. Please provide the description, probably cause and probable fix or next steps. Thanks

DTC P1706/FLASH CODE 6: A/T GEAR POSITION SWITCH (OPEN) 1. Turn ignition on. If any A/T gear position indicator light stays on when gear selector is moved from that gear, go to next step. If all A/T gear position indicator lights go off when gear selector is moved from that gear, system is okay at this time. 2. Shift to Reverse. Using DVOM, check voltage between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" terminals No. 13 or No. 26 (Brown/Black wires) and No. 11 (Green/Red wire). See Fig. 18 and Fig. 19 . If voltage is not present, go to next step. If voltage is present, check and repair open in Green/Red wire between TCM 26-pin connector "A" and A/T gear position switch. 3. Shift to Neutral or Park. Check voltage between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" terminals No. 13 or No. 26 (Brown/Black wires) and No. 10 (Light Green/Black wire). If voltage is not present, go to next step. If voltage is present, check and repair open in Light Green/Black wire between TCM 26-pin connector "A" and A/T gear position indicator. 4. Shift to "D4" position. Check voltage between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" terminals No. 13 or No. 26 (Brown/Black wires) and No. 9 (Pink/Green wire). If voltage is not present, go to next step. If voltage is present, check and repair open in Pink/Green wire between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" and A/T gear position switch. 5. Shift to "D3" position. Check voltage between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" terminals No. 13 or No. 26 (Brown/Black wires) and No. 8 (Green/Blue wire). If voltage is not present, go to next step. If voltage is present, check and repair open in Green/Blue wire between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" and A/T gear position switch. 6. Shift to "2" position. Check voltage between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" terminals No. 13 or No. 26 (Brown/Black wires) and No. 7 (Green/Yellow wire). If voltage is not present, go to next step. If voltage is present, check and repair open in Green/Yellow wire between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" and A/T gear position switch. 7. Shift to "1" position. Check voltage between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" terminals No. 13 or No. 26 (Brown/Black wires) and No. 6 (Light Green/White wire). If voltage is present, check and repair open in Light Green/White wire between TCM 26-pin harness connector "A" and A/T gear position switch. If voltage is not present, check for loose TCM connectors or faulty TCM. Replace with a known-good TCM and recheck system.
