1997 Acura Integra 4 cyl

hello i have a 1997 acura integra LS dohc B18B1 non vtec engine was driving on a rainy day all the sudden i got a check engine light on so i took it to the shop the next day and they say i got a bad o2 sensor but i dont no which o2 sensor. My sensor is located after the catalytic converter and that is the only one on the car cannot find any other o2 sensor beside that one. Other thing is that sometime it would smell like rotten egg and burn alot of gas mileage like im running rich i just got a tune up not long ago about a week ago. My friend say probably my catalytic converter is clogged but if i remove it and put a pipe on it would it still smell bad? Any advise and tips would be nice thank you much.

There are two oxygen sensors on your vehicle. On pre-cat and one post-cat.

It is illegal to remove your catalytic convertor and put in a straight pipe. And you would still get a smell, especially if you are running rich.

My recommendation: find out why you are running rich and fix the problem. if you need a new convertor, then replace it.
