1996 Acura Integra car wont start

hi i have a 96 acura integra and it starts fine when i start it for the first time in the day, once it warms up and i try to start it again it trys to start but it wont, the car starts to smell like gas, i dont have very much money to take it to a mechanic so please help, i was thinking that it might be the fuel filter?? ohh and i tried to put some of that fuel cleaner in the gas tank but it didnt help at all, if you could get back to me i would greatly appreciate it,
