Engine Performance problem
1995 Acura Integra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

My 95 acura integra has lost its peppyness lately. When I punch the gas, it just isn't responding like normal. My neighbor thought my rotor looked corroded where there might not be adequate contact. The guy at Checkers made a little more sense that it could just be the fuel filter. Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be your air filter is clogged, and maybe your catalytic converter is bad.

1)If you have not performed a tune up recently, then I'd get started with that first.

2)Replace Air Filter ( like last guy said )

3)Try Using a couple bottles of Shell-V fuel injection cleaner or STP fuel injection cleaner it should help with alot of carbon build up in the vavles, piston tops, and so on. Also clean injector's mean it will perform at its peak.

4)Get a new Fuel Filter put in if its been in there for a while. You dont want to mess up your fuel pump.

Other than that if it continues after a good tune up and all the above, you definately wanna ask a mechanic in your area to take a look at it.

Hope its not too serious / easy fix* good luck man

oops- oh yea if you are running a LS/GS I know the recommendation is 87 octane which is enough but try using 91 octaine or 93 whichever you can get and run a higher octane gas to clear everything out of your car. ( 100,000+ )
