I took my car to get inspected and it failed from an apparent cracked headlight (that I can not see) and then he said that the sway bar was broken in the front and back. I thought a sway bar was a performance part to keep your car level through turns and did not come stock. He is estimating 800 dollars in repair. Is this right?

Your vehicle does have stabilizer bars. And they are required for a safety inspection.

$800 sounds about right if the headlight(s) is included. If $800 is just for the bars and labour, you can find it cheaper somewhere else.
