1994 Acura Integra loss of power

I would like to receive expert advice on my recent car troubles. I notice that ocassionally when i transfer into second gear from first, or when i slow down from a higher gear into speeds relative to second gear my car hesitates requiring me to press harder on the gas pedal in order to enable the car to catch up to prober speed. The car also seems to be a lil more slugish going up hills and in general driving and not moving as fast eventhough im giving ample gas.
