My cruise control stopped working. The dash switch comes on, but the set speed button on the steering wheel does not activate.

First to inspect would be the brakelight switch. Just check to make sure your brake lights are working properly. If they are OK, check the ground wiring for the system. Ground wire is in left side of engine compartment next to windshield washer fluid tank and also one behind left kick panel.

If ground wiring is good to CC system and brake lights work then next to test would be the control unit. To test this, remove the dashboard lower left cover and left knee bolster. The CC unit is located near the left kick panel. Turn ignition OFF, then unplug the CC unit 14-pin connector. Use a DVOM tester to perform the CC unit input tests. If a DVOM is not availabe you can have a local shop run the test for you.
