Engine Mechanical problem
1991 Acura Integra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 110000km

Hi i have the car listed above with 370 000km on the body but the engine has been swapped out for a 1.6L B16A engine w/ 110 000km. My problem: the car will start fine in the morning in the garage which is a level parking space. When i take the car out and park it in a lot, which are usually not level the car will not start when I come back to it later on. I have recently had the gas tank replaced but it had this problem before that too. The car is cranking its just not getting gas even when the tank is full. It will start on whats in the line but then shut down and will not start again. I have also noticed that once ive tried it a few times when I open the gas tank it lets out pressure im not sure whether its supposed to do that? Any ideas?

Do below to determine whether it is fuel or spark problem:

Get a helper disconnect a spark plug wire or two and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer.

Hey thanks for the tip, the problem turned out to be more model specific though. It was the main relay which is a common problem with this car and similar cars made by Honda and Acura for years around 1991. The problem is that when the car gets hot the relay stops working because the solders expand. You can either easily replace the relay yourself for $70.00 or if you can solder you can re solder the solders.
