Heater problem
1991 Acura Integra Two Wheel Drive Manual 199000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Replaced blower motor. Heater works in every way except the buttons to indicate where you want the fan to blow air, floor, dash, ect. Tested function control motor, which tested good. Tested recirculation motor that also teted good. Have not run test on heater control panel but seems to point to a bad ground. Where could that bad ground be? Don't all three componments work off of the same ground?

Many thanks - Tom

looks like separate grounds. I'd send a diagram, but no email listed.

E-mail is 6blueacres@comcast.net and thanks for the help.

There is no air blowing out. Lights work on the heater control. Happened after I replaced the blower motor. Blower motor works at all speeds.

Blower works, but no air? is the fan mounted correctly on the motor? is the motor turning the correct direction?

Yes to all.

It blows, but the directional motor does not allow the air to go where you want it. for example, push the button for defrost, no air. push the button for panel - no air.

If none of it works,. check all fuses. Could be a problem with the control head.Be sure you got everything plugged back in near the blower motor if this all started then

There is a cable system for the vents and they can be adjusted.

You are correct that a short to ground will cause your condition.
