Engine Performance problem
1990 Acura Integra 4 cyl Manual

Whats with all the sensors! I have little knowledge of fuel injection, not to mention sensors and codes. As I am trying to fix up this 90 integra for my sons first car, I have crossed many things I have had to deal with before. One thing is I am putting oil in this car everyday! There was a large amount of oil leaking from under the car so I changed the valve cover gasket, there seems to be less oil leaking from under to car but I am still having to add more than 1 quart a day! What next?
Another question is the oxygen sensor has been bypassed, is this ok? How is this affecting my performance? Does this have anything to do with the way the car starts?

Sounds like you have a leaking oil pan gasket, as for useing alot of oil, you have a bad pcv valve, plugged or damaged. And bypassing the oxygen sensor is a no-no. This device is found in exhaust manifold, which generates a small voltage dependent on the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust stream, used as a signal to the engine control computer, to determine the amount of fuel necessary to maintain a proper, air/fuel ratio.
