1987 Acura Integra chugs or hesitates

Every time I shift gears it wants to hesitate and chug untill I reach about 3 grand on the tack then its runs fine. Or if I run it at high rpms if fine. Also the tack jumps around alot. What is causing this to happen.

Hi bigjohnt,

When the tachometer is erratic, it usually is caused by a bad ignition coil. The hesitation and poor performance is another factor pointing to that, seems the ignition coil is misfiring.
