Help. My car just quit running in a parking lot! I turn the key and the dash lights flicker while something clicks away under the hood. The battery measures 11 volts and the vehicle does not start when I try to boost it with my truck. I have painstakingly pulled every fuse from the inside and outside boxes and everything looks good. I have also turned on everything that I can think of and the only thing that does not work is the drivers side power window. That window has needed some lubrication for a bit but, I will replace that fuse tomorrow, just in case. What should I be checking next?

Start by having the battery charged and tested then see if it will start?

Shoot! I forgot to add a piece of information. I had tried to let the OBDII code reader have a discussion with the car, but there was a communication error. It looks like the DLC may be affected by the same problem as the starter.
Anyway, I will get the battery charged and see what happens. Thanks.

That could be because of the low battery voltage the first thing we need to do is get the low battery voltage fixed. Also, make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. After it starts make sure the alternator is charging.

someday's my car does not start.
I had it towed to garage once and it started once there. Went to pick it up and two days later it did not start again.
Mechanic said it was distributer so changed it and again three days later it does not start.
Has anyone experienced this or know what could be the problem?

Well does it crank or not?

If it does not crank, it could be your starter motor starting to fail, or an intermittent connection problem.

my car turns over but will not start. Here are a list of things I have checked in the order that I did it:
1-obvious things like, is it in park, etc.
2-battery and starter.
3-timing belt intact.
4-added five gallons of fuel.
5-pulled plugs to see if fouled. All are firing.
6-compression good.
7-check plug caps for snugness.
8-checked air intake. Filter good.
9-sprayed starter fluid into air intake.
The car had trouble starting the day before, but started.
I did notice when it was running it was almost stalling out during acceleration from a dead stop. The next day it started right up and ran fine so I drove it to the store. Which it is still sitting at because it will not start. I have a slight hunch that the weather may have something to do with it (rainy/foggy/humid) but am unsure. Does anyone have anymore trouble shooting ideas?

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter and fuel pump.

Mine is in shop now for same thing. It happened once a few weeks ago and did not give it a thought again, until it would not kick over at all. Bad fuel pump.
