I have an Acura 3.0CL with 200,000 miles on it. The car runs fine but won't pass inspection in NC because of a problem with the EGR valve. I want to try to clean or replace this myself and would like to know where to start. As far as finding the valve, can you tell me what it looks like and how to clean it or replace it? And do would it be better to replace the part as opposed to cleaning it?

Hi lizluff, Here are the procedures. Replacement of the valve would be preferred. Fig 9 shows the diagram of the EGR valve.
