Why does the A/C lose all its Freon overnight?

I recharged the A/C, but the refrigerant was empty the next day. I noticed that the low and high side ports do not have a cap, could this be a cause of the refrigerant being gone?

Hello,

It sounds like there is a leak in the A/C system. The primary function of the caps for the A/C line is to keep our dirt and debris, so it is not likely the leak is from there, but it is possible to have a leaking shredder valve.

There are dyes that you can use on the A/C system, which can help you detect the leak.

Here is a helpful guide:

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
