I have a 2002 Lincoln LS and 6 months ago when I bought it the A/C blew cold, but now it doesn't even start to get cold. I believe it had freon, because the compressor cycles on. It seems that it just isn't switching over from the heat cycle. Could it be the blend door or is there something else I should be looking at. Thanks

If it's auto temp control it has to be scanned to see if something is not letting the temp blend door open or if it's broken

Does it have to be scanned with a code reader or can it be done from the control unit itself. Like Cadillac is done b by pressing the warm and the off buttons. Is there a sequence to pull the trouble codes from the panel?

I forgot that press off and floor buttons at same time then the auto button within two seconds to get the codes. See pic for further explanation. This will only work on auto temp control where temperature is set to a certain degree. Then get back to us with codes
