96 Pontiac Transport Repair Question

Electric door
My battery died on my 96 transport and since then my electronic sliding door wont work I have a remote for it as well it is very hard to open and close when doing manually how do i reprogram the door to automatically open?

This same thing just happened to my 96 Tran Sport a couple weeks ago. My battery went bad and died, I replaced that, and ever since the automatic door will not even turn on. It's very hard to open manually and about kills my hands and back trying. I am very interested in finding out if there was a solution or not.
