My 2012 F150 side mirrors does not have turn signal lights.
Can these be added in the blank spaces

Yes you can add the lights the turn signal wiring is already there. Here are the wiring diagrams so you can see how the blinkers work in the mirrors. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

The deal you push up or down to turn your signals on is on left side of steering wheel also operates windshield wipers, will not stay where it should. i have to hold down on it to keep right turn signal off and when i push down left turn signal does not come on at all, if i just let go of it it goes in position for right turn signal an stays there.

that is the multi function switch which may be the problem of not turn signal. normally these have to be replaced when like that. you can have a mechanic check it as the air bag has to come off and best done by a mechanic.

Check for a bad bulb and check grounds.
