I'm working on my car listed above that's having issues with its front passenger window, and it seems like the issue is either the window motor or the regulator. Window rolls down fine, but when trying to roll it up, it gets stuck at certain points, and sounds like an impact wrench after hitting specs when stuck. Even when the window is closed, and the switch is hit to roll up, it still makes the noise. I've been manually rolling the window up, and when I have the motor off the door with no resistance, it seems to have no issues turning both ways. I figure this may have messed with the calibration of the regulator a bit. I've also lubed the window tracks to see if that might help get the window up the full way, but that didn't resolve the problem. Any thoughts on what the root of the problem may be and what route may be best for repairing?

Hi,

Based on the noise you hear; I feel the drive gear in the motor itself is stripped. They are plastic and break.

If you look below, I provided the directions for replacing the motor. The directions show the left side, but the right side will be the same.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe
