2011 Mercedes Benz 380se Car not locking

I have tried to lock the car but it is not working. On the key when u press the unlock button the car lights flash and when you hit the boot one it opens the boot but when u hit the lock button it does nothing

Greetings,

Does the vehicle lock using the interior lock switch? If the driver's door lock solenoid is having a hard time pulling the lock down it may be signaling to the computer that it can't lock. I would suggest removing the door panel and lubricating the linkage as a first attempt to repair this issue as this is the cheapest method. If you have a spare key FOB you could try locking with it as well but I don't believe the issue is with the key FOB.
