motor has a melting plastic smell when running. fluids are full all gages are normal engine not running hot. temp gage is running about 1/2

check exhaust system for something that may have melted on a pipe.

Roy, My car will start out on the ,low side of temp gage, then it starts going to middle..that is as far as it goes...I notice when I get to wear Iam going the engine feels very hot...any ideas, what is the proublem would be..?
