Every time I crank my car it rattles for a few seconds underneath the hood but only does it the first time I crank it but does it again after it sits for awhile if I crank it again. What's that mean?

It can be done at home If you have mechanical ability. You can go to our site and look under repair/diagrams for your car's belt diagram.

Thank you and one last thing, my husband has a 2013 Sierra was brand new and now has 80,000 miles on it, will not crank unless he pumps the gas and holds the gas pedal now for the rpms to go up until the truck warms up and will stay running. If you don't pump the gas and hold it down it will run the battery down, we've replaced the battery multiple times, could you possibly tell me what could cause that as well?

He wold have to have it scanned for codes and fuel pressure checked with a gauge first. Auto parts rents the gauge.
