I just bought used a MX5 NC (2008 model but only 2 years old) and from day one the clutch pedal seemed too soft and it was picking up too low. Today I couldnt shift any gear at all with the engine on. I would have to turn it off to use any gear. After the gear was in first I would turn on the car and drive but since I couldnt shift I had to turn it off again. Any suggestions for this type of malfunction? Do you think I need to buy a new clutch?
