Lincoln MKZ Tire Problem
Drivers side rear turn signal stopped working. Ford service told me they would need to replace entire housing as it is an LED assembly for about $500.00.

That does sound typical of Ford but if it was my car, I'd find a way to take it apart, diagnose it, and fix it. LEDs last a whole lot longer than light bulbs, so I'd expect to find a corroded connection or break in the circuit board.
