Taurus computer
I have a 2010 Ford Taurus that will only blow out heat from the defroster and cannot be shut off. I brought it to a repair shop and they overrode the car computer and the ac and radio worked fine. If it is the computer ,how expensive is it to replace?

was it the bcm or the main computer?? it is controlled by the bcm.
bypass??? not a good idea as it may have caused other issues. did the repair shop give you a bid??
the pcm is about 400 labor is about 1 hour and flashing is about 100.
bcm is about 300 with 1 hour in labor.
hope there is no other damage.
check and see if you have any waranty left on the car as it is still with 3-5 year period. call the dealer and give them your vin number.
be carefull, if they see this bypass, it will void all warranties.
