Turn 4wd switch to auto or 4hi and the indicator light on switch just blinks then the service 4wd light comes active. Even switching from 2wd to 4lo (with truck in neutral) light just blinks. 2wd light comes on in all positions. While switching from 2wd to 4hi I can hear the actuator. So I think that's working. Checked all fuses, no issues there. Once the vehicle is left parked for awhile and you start it (in 2wd) the maintenance light is off. Until I turn the switch again. Thoughts? TCCM? Actuator? Switch?

Good morning,

There is a fault code stored in the system. It needs to be identified with a code scan that can access that system. Some of the code readers will not read codes from the four wheel system.

It could be an ABS code or a transmission code. Once the code is identified, I can further help you on the diagnostic side to try to get to a resolution.

Try a parts store for the code scan. Some of them can access that system. It is a free service from the parts store.
