While turning at about 15 mph this morning with 1 inch of snow the traction control kicked in and power steering shut off for 30 secs and would not read until shutoff and turn on the only code I found relating to power steering was c0545 also idk if the temperature would do anything but it was 7 degrees out

No the tires were probably sliding in the snow so it activated traction control, it may have knocked out steering to regain control. If everything is/was ok the light should have gone out after firts ignition cycle if it didnot then the sensors in steering column may need recalibration
