I have had my check engine light on for some time and have been trying to fix it so it will pass for inspection. I just replaced the secondary air pump and the check valve and yet my light came back on. I just got a new code or P2430 secondary air injection system pressure sensor circuit. I am wondering if I have to replace the sensor or if there could be something else I could do.

Yes I know there's no such thing as a 2008 gto I don't know why It put that because I put my info in as a 2008 pontiac Grand Prix. And the code reader did pull up that code, p2430. Look it up because there's a lot about it it just can be different things which is why I was asking if anyone could help.

You have to check the voltage to it t make sure it ids getting proper voltage. It only works when engine is cold so check ect sensor to seeif it's workingok, but sounds like it is. Also try tapping it to unstick valve then check for a short. Pic shows solenoid of course check fuses and fusiblelinks as well as that can effect it. Fuse is emission fuse 12 and relay is near the air cleaner duct. Also check ground which is off of transmission stud.

Yes if you replaced the valve, and pump then check for a short or low volteage. It may have to be checked by a pro as I don't know the machine you are using an dpro machines can do more than the auto parts ones. But make sure to check connectors and for shorts that really sounds like the problem.
